Find answers to some of the questions asked most frequently by our clients

  • Do I need life insurance with my mortgage?

Life insurance isn’t legally required, but it’s strongly recommended. It ensures your mortgage can be repaid if you pass away, giving your family financial security and peace of mind.

  • Can you review my existing insurance policies?

Yes — we can review your current life insurance, critical illness cover, or income protection to check whether it still meets your needs or if you could save money by switching.

  • Do you only help clients in who live locally?

We’re based in Apsley, Hemel Hempstead and offer face to face meetings at our office but also offer phone or video call appointments. Many of our clients are based all over the UK

  • Can you help if I have bad credit?

Yes — many lenders offer mortgages for people with adverse credit. We can assess your situation and recommend lenders who are more flexible with credit history

  • Can you help me if I am in the UK on a Visa.

Yes – we have vast experience helping clients who don’t have indefinite leave to remain in the UK including those on skilled worker or spousal visas

  • Will it affect my credit score?

We usually encourage our clients to obtain an Agreement In Principle (AIP) from a lender so they can be certain they know how much they can borrow. This usually involves a “soft footprint” credit check which doesn’t affect their credit rating. We will always explain if a credit search will affect a client’s credit rating and check they are happy to proceed with it
